Tom McBride - Head Coach
Coach Tom McBride is beginning his thirteenth year at the helm of the Blue Streaks Basketball program. He is beginning his 22nd year of coaching, the last fifteen as a Blue Streak. Prior to being at Lake, Coach "Mac" spent time as Junior Varsity Coach and Varsity assistant at his Alma Mater, Canton Central Catholic. He also served as Golf Coach for 6 years and had one team finish State Runner-up. As a student athlete Coach McBride received ten varsity letters while participating in Football, Basketball, and Baseball. He was honered with the John McVay Award for the Most Outstanding Athlete in his class.
Coach "Mac" is a 1991 graduate of Walsh University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Comprehensive Social Studies. While at Walsh, he was a four year starter on the Cavalier baseball team. During his senior season, he was named to the academic All-American team as a third baseman.
Coach McBride currently teaches CBIP, Career Based Intervention which was formerly known as OWE.
Tom and his wife Melissa, who is a manager in the accounting department at Presteligence in North Canton, have celebrated twenty years of marriage. They have two boys, Jake (17), and Joe who will turn (13) in January.

Frank Spotleson is in his sixth year as Varsity Assistant at Lake High School. He is beginning his 18th year of coaching basketball. Prior to being at Lake, Frank has spent time at St. Thomas Aquinas, North Canton Hoover, Akron Central Hower, and GlenOak as an assistant coach. Coach Spotleson spent two years as coach in the Lake Youth Basketball and Baseball programs.
Coach Spotleson graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in 1976 and was a member of the 1975 state semi-final basketball team. He earned his bachelors degree from Baldwin-Wallace College where he played under two highly respected coaches, Dr. William Clarke and Bob Ruppert. Frank completed his Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Ashland University in 1999.
He has been a technology teacher for 20 years. Frank was hired in 2009 at Lake, as the interactive media instructor. He taught at Barberton High School, Akron Central Hower High School, St. Thomas Aquinas and most recently GlenOak before joining the Lake High School staff.
Frank and his wife Lori, who is the Patient Financial Services - System Administrator at Akron General Medical Center, have been married for 20 years and have three children attending Lake Local Schools. Mitchell who is 16 years old is a Sophomore at the High School and 12 year old twins Matthew and Michael attend Lake Middle School.

This is Jeremy Richards second year as Junior Varsity Coach at Lake High School. He is a member of the 2003 graduating class of Canton South High School. Jeremy attended college at the University of Dayton from 2003-2007 and graduated with a B.S. in Adolescence to Young Adult Education. He is currently pursuing his Master's degree in special education.
Jeremy was a four-year letter winner at Canton South where his team won 3 district championships and one regional championship. He was elected first-team All Northeastern Buckeye Conference for three consecutive years and first-team Stark County for two years in a row.
Jeremy is married to Hope Richards and they currently reside in East Canton, Ohio. They have a two year old daughter, Taylor.
